An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Payroll professional to build on their existing leadership experience by managing a large team of Payroll Officers. Reporting to the Remuneration Services Manager, this purpose of this role is to lead a growing team of payroll and administration professionals as part of the Group Services Division. Responsibilities include: - End-to-end payroll process for 250 staff on fortnightly pay run– new starts, superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, termination, award & EBA interpretation
- Oversee the fortnightly preparation, processing & reconciliation of divisional payrolls consisting of over 15 Payroll Officers (complete division pays 6,000+ staff)
- Ensure integrity of payroll system & personnel information
- Update & implement all payroll related changes to the relevant divisional enterprise agreements & awards & ensure that all payroll staff are aware of changes
- Ensure compliance with company policy and relevant legislation with relation to payroll
- Participate in the ongoing review of the Payroll Procedures manual
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure compliance with policies, procedures & industrial agreements
- Supervise & provide leadership to the payroll officers – provide direction in work allocation, motivate payroll officers to provide a customer focused service, train & develop all payroll officers
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Ad hoc duties as required
Essential Requirements: - 5 + years experience in payroll processing
- Experience in supervising a team of Payroll Officers
- Strong leadership/management skills
