Project Manager Underground Mining – Air Handling Installation $60 to $80 per hour $140,000 – Super + Vehicle Close to Mackay 12 month initial contract
My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong mechanical & electrical skills for a 12 month installation project located in Queensland, a 45 minute drive from Mackay. Their business offers a full range of standard or design to manufacture large fans / air handling units / axial & centrifugal fans into the Industrial, Mining and Oil & Gas sectors. Due to rapid company expansion and abundance of new exciting and innovative projects, they now require an Underground Mining Project Manager to work on a large underground installation project. The successful Project Managers daily responsibilities will involve managing operations involved in every day installation of large high power industrial fans and air handling system. Projects will be delivered and managed according to the companies standards. The successful candidate will possess the following: - 5+ years Project Management experience
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical hands on engineering experience
- Good Leadership skills
- Manage projects within correct OHSE and ISO regulations
- Experience within Ventilation, Conveyors, piping would be advantageous
- Tertiary qualified or time served equivalent
- Develop the projects within budget and schedule
- Monitor, Forecast and control projects
- Mange electricians, fitters, engineers
- Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and manage expectations
