This mining house is at the forefront of the resources boom and is active in over 35 countries worldwide. They are international industry leading producers of Iron Ore and are ramping up their Australian presence within the coal market. Having recently acquired a number of promising tenements throughout Queensland and New South Wales, they need a logistics development engineer to join their Brisbane based team to support this growth.


Reporting to the logistics development manager, you will analyse and develop long term logistics solutions relating to rail expansions and coordinate these projects. This role will require high level interaction with technical experts encompassing the rolling stock, track layout, civil works and implementation plan phases. As this role has a strong focus on future infrastructure projects, a strategic outlook is needed to monitor Australia’s port and rail industries and ensure that you remain updated on new technologies and movements within these spaces.

You will be pivotal in lodging submissions to rail and port operators regarding the development of projects’ access undertaking and agreements as well as capturing and providing logistics modelling data to assist in business developments evaluations.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree
• Extensive experience relating to rail development projects
• Keen business/finance acumen; professional training highly regarded
• Outstanding literacy and interpersonal skills
