Our client, established in 1985, is a leading technologies provider in the industrial automation, telecommunications, environmental and healthcare markets. Headquartered in Singapore, they have more than 1500 qualified and technical staff operating a network of over 30 offices in 20 countries, spanning the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
 
They are currently recruiting a Senior Systems Technician.
 
 
Key Objective and Responsibilities:
 
  • To quote to the limits set by the Service Manager
  • To accept and release conforming products
  • To take appropriate action to address non-conformances
  • To with hold non-conforming product
  • To supervise subordinate staff as direct
  • During periods of absences to perform higher duties as directed
  • To inspect subordinates work
  • To instruct subordinates in techniques
 Specific Duties:
  • Workshop Programming, Alignment and Maintenance of Conventional UHF and VHF radio transceivers.
  • Workshop Programming, Alignment and Maintenance of MPT and Smartnet radios.
  • Workshop Programming and maintenance of UHF and VHF pagers.
  • Workshop and Field Installation of UHF and VHF radio transceivers in to various types of vehicle, and where necessary, boat.
  • Field installation of Repeater and Trigger Base radios.
  • Workshop Programming, Alignment and Maintenance of Radio Repeater stations.
  • Repair and Maintenance of DC Power supply units.
  • Inherent in carrying out the above tasks staff are expected to-
  • Be proficient in the use of System monitors, analysers and other test equipment normally found in a commercial workshop.
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word
 
Specific attributes would be:
 
  • Tetra system infrastructure and radios; design, build, commissioning, maintenance, and product support.
  • Analogue trunking systems (i.e. Smartnet), installation, maintenance, fault finding.
  • Analogue and digital subscriber radios - programming, fault finding, technical advice to customers.
  • Repeater systems
  • RF system design: two way radios, wireless, microwave system
  • Industry experience: mining, oil & gas, construction. Ideally will have worked to the resource sector, having mobilised to remote client sites e.g. mine, rail, port, offshore or refinery.
