Based on St Kilda Rd our client is a boutique fashion, apparel and textile recruiter. Managing some of the biggest names in the market, they have a highly favourable reputation amongst clients and candidates, making them stand out from their competitors. Currently they are looking to appoint a strong Account Manager / Business Development Manager who has a developed network and good reputation in the Fashion / Apparel industry. As the Account Manager / Business Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships. Your day will be filled with going out to see client's on-site, taking clients out to lunch, attending networking functions, picking up job briefs and working closely with the Candidate Manager who will be responsible for sourcing the candidates for the roles that you secure. To be considered for this position it is imperative that you have a strong Sales and Account Management background in the Retail / Apparel industry. It is not necessary that you have prior Recruitment experience however you must have a strong understanding of Retail roles including Production Coordinator, Merchandiser, Women's / Children's / Men's Wear Designer, Graphic Designer, QA Technician, Garment Technician / Pattern Maker and Retail Store Manager. You must understand and talk the "fashion lingo" and be capable of picking up accurate job briefs for the Candidate Manager.
