ICT Procurement & Contracts Specialists

An opportunity exists for three ICT Procurement and Contract Specialists to undertake procurement and contract development processes to support the SPARQ Solutions ICT program of work and existing ICT arrangements.

The key duties of the role will include the following:

  • Undertake procurement processes to establish GITC contracts (for example, ICT solutions incorporating software licensing, support and maintenance, professional services,  other intellectual property and implementation contracts)
  • Review existing arrangements and recommend improvements
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders in relation to acquisition, tender evaluation and contract management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with SPARQ Solutions procurement policies and processes including ensuring accountability and ethical behaviour are paramount in commercial dealings with vendors
  • Liaise with legal advisors on contractual issues and ensure probity issues are managed in a professional and proactive manner

 
To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess the following:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience with ICT Contracts preferably GITC v5.02
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking ICT procurement processes in a commercial environment including ability to deliver value, and mitigate risks and achieve savings
  • Demonstrated experience in applying procurement knowledge (to procurement processes) in the review, editing and development of documents including experience in authoring acquisition strategy plans (significant procurement plans), tender documents, evaluation plans, probity plans, contracts (preferably GITC) and contract management plans
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability in ensuring mutually satisfactory, and commercially sound, outcomes are achieved and in the resolution of contract and strategic sourcing related issues
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from the business, translate those requirements into a procurement (EOI/RFT/RFQ/RFO) and contractual framework and negotiate those consolidated terms with vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders

These roles will initially be offered on a 4 month contract basis with possible extensions.
