The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant is responsible for the translation of business and technical needs into solution sales to key customers. 

They are also responsible for driving pre-sales engagements and mentoring pre-sales and sales resources within their assigned territory. 

Working in conjunction with other Pre-Sales team members and Account Executives, the Pre-Sales consultant leverages expertise to objectively address the customer's needs in an effort to become a trusted adviser to their customers. 
 
 
What will this role involve....

• Own the Pre-Sales relationship with assigned customers
• Ensure that valid solutions are positioned and sold to their customers
• Use knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of storage infrastructure and management
• Build value-added relationships within the domain of the account to become the trusted advisor
• Responsible for delivering both core implementation solutions (Build) as well as incremental consulting solutions (Plan and Manage)

What skills and experience will you need...

• Consultative selling skills and proven ability to work with customers 
• In-depth IT and specifically storage experience, with a broad understanding of IT platforms and applications
• Experience selling, designing and implementing complex solutions for customers
• Strong mentoring abilities 
• Ability to document best practices and share methodologies across team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
