Scheduler - Permanent role - Up to $140K Package

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Schedulers within a large Government Department for a Permanent role.

The role:

The role of the Project Scheduler includes the provision of project scheduling support and specialist advice to Manager PMO and Program team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent project scheduling services to support various programs;
  • Analyse and report status position of schedules with Project Managers and Project Teams;
  • Support Project Managers and Project Teams in the planning, implementation and monitoring of Projects;
  • Produce weekly schedule status reports comparing dates to baseline and previous period forecasts;
  • Undertake "what if" schedule modelling analysis. Undertake Critical and Near Critical Thread Analysis. Undertake Sources of Delay Analysis. Conduct Health Check Analysis on schedules. Analysis of under/over allocated resourcing profiles. Provide Project status at monthly Project Reviews. Analyse schedules using node network diagrams; and
  • Analyse Major Supplier schedules in accordance with above methodologies. Analyse Major Supplier Project Status Reports.

Skills:

  • High level experience in relation to capital acquisition planning, and the planning and design of complex project schedules;
  • Experience (min 5 years) with Microsoft Project Scheduling software;
  • Ability to achieve objectives and conduct work planning, utilising project management principles;
  • High level written and oral communication skills;
  • Production of reports, schedules;
  • Working with minimal supervision on assigned projects or tasks, either alone or as part of a team; and
  • Promoting cooperative working relationships with clients and staff.
