Our client is currently looking for an experienced Monitoring Analyst to develop, maintain and continually improve the existing platforms and to supplement and feed into processes like Event, Incident, Problem, Availability, Capacity and Technical Management.

In this role you will be:

• Determining the standards for Infrastructure Monitoring and End User Experience Monitoring platforms
• Determining that the new applications and equipments are established with proper metrics within the monitoring platforms
• Liaising with the application owners and infrastructure staff to extract requirements for monitoring and event management
• Updating and upgrading the monitoring platform comprising of Windows and Unix Servers on a regular basis
• Working with the monitoring software vendors to enhance the monitoring capability
• Other duties specified by the Group Manager

Skills and Experience required:

• Hands on experience in configuration, maintenance and tuning of enterprise monitoring tools such as Solarwinds Suite, Compuware, BMC ProactiveNet, CA Spectrum
• Round knowledge across both applications and Infrastructure (Unix, Windows Server, Storage and Networking)
• Strong knowledge of ITIL v3 and IT Service Management principles
• Knowledge of the IT Service Management platforms such as CA Unicentre, HP Service Manager or BMC Remedy
• Experience in training and coaching staff in the use of the monitoring platform
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Current NSW Drivers License
