Our client is an innovative and Australian owned organisation committed to developing and manufacturing a range of skincare products for the local and overseas markets. They currently have a contract position in their small team for a talented and hands-on Research and Development Chemist to drive their projects.
You will be a key element to the success of the business with involvement in many aspects of the business. This is a multi-faceted role where some of your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new products and reformulating existing ranges in line with technical briefs and project timeframes
- Researching new active ingredients and concepts as required which will involve collaboration with external resources
- Timely testing of products to ensure conformance to specifications
- Overseeing laboratory operations and ensuring in-house test trials are conducted in a timely fashion
- Report writing, record keeping and maintain the stability program
To be considered for the position, you will possess qualifications in Science (or related discipline) supported ears experience in successfully formulating and developing a range of cosmetic products. A clear understanding of chemistry and molecular science during development stages is essential. Familiarity with the TGA guidelines will be highly desirable. The successful applicant will be creative, proactive, flexible and adaptable coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
